Subject: Let me tell you a story about a
doll in your collection
I cried my eyes out when I saw my doll on
your web site. I know she is not for sale and by the looks of web page she looks like she is in good company now. My 2 sisters
and I when we were young all received these dolls. My older sister Marj had the bride doll, my sister Connie had the bridesmaid
with the blue dress and me being the youngest got the doll with the pink dress. I have been searching all these years for
my doll with the pink dress, lace gloves with high heels and I found her...
I will just tell you about my doll sweet
rosemary with the pink dress...
My mom died when in labor when she had me
back in 1950 from lupus & asthma. Back in those days they did not have prednisone which could of saved her life. Me well
I have Lupus and Asthma... my other two sisters are healthy I guess you can say I am the weakling in the family and still
am.
Any how my dad was a drunk and my mom's
family in California disowned him when she died having me. Years went by different women came and went. Then one day this
woman came to live with us just for a short while and she was so nice her name was Joanna I can not believe that I remember
her name after all these years. She loved us and bought us these dolls...
Betty the Bride and her Bridesmaid, Sweet
Rosemary
Then
she died. After her came this woman name Jennifer. To say she was a drunk and abusive to me is an understatement.
She took my Sweet Rosemary away from me because I would never let her go even when being burned by my step mothers cigarettes,
or stuck in the back with sewing needles when I was not looking if I cried she would use a bigger needle to poke me with.
My dolly Rosemary was the only thing I had to consul me through my horrible child hood. One day my step mother got real
ticked off at me so she put me in a bath tub with boiling hot water that she boiled on the stove. I remember my legs
looking like wet toilet tissue paper because they were so burned. I grab my dolly Sweet Rosemary and my burnt up skin stuck
to the ruffle layers of lace which were sewn on the skirt of the dress. I was taken to the hospital and when I got out my
Dad and Step Mother were so mad that I cost them money that they threw my dolly and me under the house to starve. No water
no food... I could only look out to the world through the little mesh wire hole which was put there by the builders of the
house for a vent I guess. The crawl space under the house had a ceiling height of maybe 20 inches or less. I know because
my sweet rosemary dolly couldn't stand up.
Well
to make a long story short my next door neighbors called the police because they had heard me whimpering for about 10
days or more and then I was silent. The story goes that when the cops found me almost dead under the house I had a death grip
on the doll even in my weaken condition. I was in the hospital for about 6 months or more because in the 50'-early 60's the
medical technology is not what it is now. My organs had started to completely shut down because of no food or water for almost
two weeks. The after effects of this still plague me today ate the ripe old age of 53!
I never
saw my dolly again until I logged onto your web page! to weird... I cried and cried and cried... and I know it is the doll
because like I said my sister Marj had the doll with the white dress, Connie had the doll with the blue dress and I had the
dolly with the pink dress. My sister Connie bought me a couple of years ago this doll with a pink dress that she thought was
the one I love dearly to this day. But it wasn't my doll sweet Rosemary. To this day I have never told her that is not the
doll I lost when I almost died because it would break her heart and I think she paid a lot for it.
Any
how I am so glad that my dolly found a good home with you. Now you are probably wondering who I am after all that I went through
well if log on to my web page you can see I am okay never had kids and still love that doll .
Email me back if you like... ya
don't have to though.... I just wanted to let you know some back ground history to Betty the Bride and her Bridesmaid, Sweet
Rosemary dolls you have...
With many thanks,
Delphine
Send me your address...I have multiples

Girl, Rosemary's I have several of, I
make the accessories for them from ruined dresses...I salvage and remake...dreams, homes, dolls...this is your dream, for
your home, for your doll. I have dresses all over the place, if I can't find
a good pink one, and have a decent white one, I dye it...that's the way it's done. My
sister makes the necklaces and I do the earrings. We put together pieces of this
doll all the time, because I had Betty also...in the pretty display model as shown on my site.
We have other friends that help with these dolls.
I sent a dress to a gal, and she remade
the pattern, so others can remake their own doll dresses...another guy, mind you, had located the silver elastic for their
shoes in Florida, another girl located the fabric for the pink cumber bunds, still another one for the white......we all work
together putting these dolls back together for their lost Moms..
No dups on Cindy...sorry, they are really
hard to find, and I cling to them...me and another guy who collects black dolls.
\
I don't see an address on here for this
girl to get to her home...I work two jobs, and have Friday's to get them in the mail, and I'll be scurrying tomorrow to get
a girl ready for you...
Christmas is a coming…there's dancing
tonight....

Deanna you’re the sweetest
person I have ever met on the web. When Joanna died I got no more dolls. This doll with the pink dress was
the only one I had. We were to poor to eat let alone have toys so that is another reason why she is so precious to me. I called
my husband at work because I could not quit crying over all this... he was thrilled I finally found her before I died....
that's his exact words, also he was thrilled that I did not trade him for my long lost dolly. Ya can't make her
from junk because GOD DOES NOT JUNK he just makes a lot of spare parts and wonderful people like you to put them
together... Let me know how I can repay you any thing! I am still crying... okay got to get a grip so you can go dancing tonight
When you get her put all together
can you send her home to my waiting arms her home address is as follows
Deanna this means so much to Me
and also for my dear sweet William who has spent the last 23 years of his life bringing home dolls that fit the description
of my dolly in the pink dress I had in the 50's!
Thanks a billion times over! no more do I feel like that lost abused child
Sincerely,
Delphine

I have a dolly here that is really yelling that she
wants to go to your place...let me tell you her story. I got her at an
auction, because of her story. She had been in California,
had been in a flood, had been in a fire, and was really looking for a retirement home where it was safe. She came to my house. She has a small burn patch where it
is dark on her foot...but all night she kept telling me that she wanted to go stay with you.
She's not perfect, she's had her day also, and is still in great shape other than the dark place on her foot. I'm putting on a new head, fixing up a dress, making a new cumber bund, and new gloves...she'll
come with reproduction jewelry, and a letter for you.
Do you want her, or a more perfect doll?
Deanna

She is perfect
for me! Of course I want her! She sounds great! Okay I know she is perfect for me because one time I forgot to turn the burner
off on the stove now mine you I was eight at the time and my mean step mother took my arm and burn my wrist to the point I
could smell my flesh burn... if you have ever smelled burned human flesh you will never forget horrible sweet yucky smell
as long as you live. Then she took my dolly because I would not let go of her ever no matter what she did to me so she says
to me okay I either burn her arm like I did yours since you won't let her go when I want you to...or
I burn yours again so what is it going to be !~@#$%^&!!! I let her burn my wrist even more again... what the hell it was already smoken... just
kidding on that part. It is weird but with a burn it does not hurt when your flesh is burning but give it a while and ya wished
you were dead. Sooooo..... the moral of my story is this.... that burned up battered dolly is probably mine! ha ha ha... so
please send her to me she was meant to find me again but this time live in paradise with me forever.......
Now Deanna
I told you name your price I am not kidding because God sent me to you for a reason and I found my dolly after what 46 years
now what are the odds of that happening. You made me so so so so happy!!! And you know and I know that dolly is mine... Just
tell me how much I owe you for going through all this trouble for me and I will gladly pay you!
I love it
when you asked me do ya want her or a more perfect dolly! Duh! I want her of course.... she is mine and you know it and
I know it! ha ha ha.... Really love ya Deanna for doing this for me... you have no idea what this dolly that has gone
through hell and back means to me. And Deanna I have the dark burn scare still on my wrist to this day and part of it
had to be amputate so hey! she has a burn mark on her foot and me on my wrist we couldn't be more perfect for each other!
You picked out my dolly I know I had years ago.... Life is so weird isn't it?
Sincerely,
Delphine

Deanna I still
can not believe all this is happening. There are so many weird things that happened which I guess made this possible in my
eyes
1. I found your
web site which is a miracle in it's self because I have searched over ? how many web sites through out the years and
never came across yours! So finding your website was a miracle in it's self
2. I had just
changed my email address to the day I found you. I had my previous address for about 5 years. I think changing
it to the new one must of opened a door in my life for you and my dolly to step through.
3. My life is
a mirror image of my dolly's life. We both have been through fire and water and came out of it in one piece and a better person
for it.
4. I have never
written any one an email like the one I wrote you telling you about your dollies. As a matter of fact I keep my childhood
memories to myself always. Seeing my dolly again just pushed me to write you. And I am glad I did and I am glad I took
a chance with you knowing who I am. That is another miracle. As you saw on my web page I do not even acknowledge I have
a mother or father or siblings.
5. My dolly
is from California... which is weird because so am I...
ha ha ha...
6. Before I
found your website I told myself your website was going to be the last one I look at and told myself that I was
going to give up and live on with out my dolly.
7. Not only
did I find my dolly but I found you Deanna a person who reached out to me a stranger and picked me up and dusted me off and
gave me back the happy times I cherish as a child because Rosemary was in it.
Thanks again
for going out of your way for me Deanna I am so happy that I am afraid I am going to burst!
Sincerely
Delphine

Hello Deanna!
I just got her....
what is it ... 7 now California time. The mail man placed
her on the out side of our solid metal gate so I did not see the box. Then William came home from work a couple of minutes
ago and told me there is a huge box waiting for me outside! I opened it up and...Ya Hoo! She is wonderful I love her!!!. She
is exactly how I remembered her. I love what you did with her shoes they are better then the ones she came with. Plus
I see you even made her a pretty cummerbund... I showed William her burned foot and he said "wow she has even
has scares just like you Island Princess (my nickname)." The only difference between her and I according to my husband that
"she is white and I am tan"! But hey who am I to tell William other wise. William can not believe how
tall she is! Yeah and to think she could not stand up under the house when my parents put us there.
I love her! Thanks
so much for making this Thanksgiving special for me. Deanna she is a dream come true and she is perfect for me. Thanks,
thanks, thanks..... Happy Thanksgiving and Thanks
so much for sending her to me so I would have her with me during our Thanksgiving Dinner (which was only going to be me and
William but now it is going to include dolly).
Thanks with
hugs and kisses!
Delphine

When I made the gloves for her, I
made them a bit larger, and then they tried sliding off. Don't know if you remember
how hard it was to get the originals off and on without ripping the lace...so be careful...I put pins in to keep them from
slipping out...go back to my web site and look at your pretty doll MIB, and see the cummerbund that she was wearing...sorry
no extra purses, or boxes, the doll will have to do.
The doll under her, I sent to Montana..so for some reason I seem to get Rosemary's to their moms..
That story was almost as weird...A gal emailed me saying someone told her I could find her that doll in the display case. My sister had remarked in our research on eBay that this doll was really close to
me. I emailed the seller after the sale was over to find out where the doll had
gone. It had gone to a house about 2 blocks from the one I had just sold, and
he was planning on reselling her. I bought her, hauled her home, and sent her
to her new mom also.
So on it goes...Sweet Rosemary looking
for her MOM's

Yup I remember
those gloves and I think I ripped her gloves when I had to take them off when I gave her a bath! ha ha ha.... All I have
to do is to sew them on her now because I know she will never want to take them off. I am impressed that you made those gloves
how in the world did you find the right material? I am absolutely thrilled I have my dolly back and I do not care if she does
not have a purse or a box. She hated being in her box so no love lost there. And she doesn't need a purse because I
will give her what ever she needs.
Like I said
she is perfect for me. She feels good when I hold her because she and I have gone through so much in our lives. She will always
be my favorite dolly forever! no matter how many other dolls I get in the future. Dolls I can buy any time but memories
is what I am really after because they mean more to me then the condition of the doll. You picked the perfect doll for me
Deanna and I will cherish her until the day I die! I wish I could repay you some how but there is not enough money in this
world to give you which would equal the value of this doll. Right now dolly is on my lap as I type this. I am resting my chin on her head.... ha ha ha... she is not screaming so
I guess that's okay. Dolly took her shoes off and set them by the front door with all of our shoes.
Your not going to believe
this Deanna but right now my doggie Jetson is handing dolly his ball thinking she will pay with him. See I have
her on my lap and Nahui is jumping up on the chair and setting his ball in her lap very easily. Oh this is a riot. I had her
standing by my computer chair
and Jetson
was sniffing and laying next to her guarding her I guess... because he only moved when I put dolly on my lap... this is so
funny. Now that the ball is in Dolly's lap again Jetson is content to just lay next to our chair as I write this...
Thanks again
for dolly!
Delphine
P.S. Dolly will
write ya when she gets all settled into her new home and her new family members... she says! So far every one is getting
along fine! ha ha ha ... sure do love this doll Deanna. ya know it is fun to know you Deanna because your as crazy as I am about
dolls its nice to have a doll buddy.
Hello Deanna!
My name is Delphine you probably don’t remember me but you gave me a deluxe dolly in 2003 when I told you about
my reading deluxe dolly story…. Thanks a trillion billion times over and then some for Genny my dolly you gave me.
I thought I would send you pictures of Genny (I name her after my real Mom Genevieve who game her life so I could live
when I was born). As you can see I made her a Hawaiian dress (I am still not done putting all the flowers on it or embroidering
all the flowers and the hula girls on it yet but....) she wore it any way for Mother’s day last Sunday. How she look...
Plus Genny has her own car now… yup dolly is spoiled rotten… ha ha ha….
So on the behalf of Genny on the behalf of her mommy ... me... double thank you

Oh,

ARE AFRAID SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN TO HER LIKE WHAT HAPPENED TO HER WHEN I WAS A CHILD SO THEY JUST LOOK AT HER AND OOOWW...

I am truly blessed by people like you Deanna who have made me
part of your lives so please don't be sad you met me okay? I am honored to have met you... and truly blessed to have found
you and my deluxe dolly on the web. Dolly is happy here but she is really afraid of the fire place for some reason? And she
has checked out her new home here and the surrounding property many a times and every time she does not find a crawl
space under this house she celebrates! ha ha ha! Do you have any idea how many times you have made me happy
since out of the goodness of your heart you gave me dolly? Give up Deanna? Every single minute of every day! Thanks whole
bunches for being the loving caring person you are Deanna!!!
Thanks,
Delphine
